Is there any point to writing poetry anymore?

Aside from the pop-poetry (Rupi Kaur, etc.) it's hard enough to get people to read novels, especially young men, than to get people engaged in poetry.

Nobody wants to read heavily-laden literary poetry anymore.

There is no audience.
