Anybody know some famous poems that are about sex and/or blatantly sexual without the greater context of love?
All I can think of is Naming of Parts by Henry Reed and a couple by e.e. cummings.

/lit/ why do journalists often quote, in a series of factual numbers, the biggest/most striking one first, then enumerate towards the least so, whereas in an argumented speech, or at least as I was taught, you're supposed to end with the most convincing argument and your own thesis ? Or am I wrong
Hope this makes sense

"today a hit song is more readily forgiven for not observing the 32 beats or the compass of the ninth than for containing even the most clandestine melodic or harmonic detail which does not conform to the idiom. Whenever Orson Welles offends against the tricks of the trade, he is forgiven because his departures from the norm are regarded as calculated mutations which serve all the more strongly to confirm the validity of the system" -Adorno&Horkheimer

Has the "style" of literary postmodernism, if it can be referred to in such a concrete sense, served to reaffirm a capitalistic system of literary production in which a text is interpreted and wholly consumed, making way for the consumption of further texts, or has literary postmodernism planted the seeds for a radical overthrowing of such a system? It would seem to me that, contrary to theory, texts are wholly consumed by the typical reader in a thoroughly capitalistc mode just as they were 100 years ago. What do you think?
