Why is this so common and how do we avoid this?

Here's the briefest synopsis of mine: A group of mercenaries fight terrorists and dinosaurs on an uncharted island in the Pacific to prevent nuclear armageddon.

Why do you write?

What's your pen name? Mine, which I've just come up with, is "Merten MinDerGork."

Are there any copywriters here?

I'm a pretty shite writer, I think. I get the basics down and can string a sentence together, but overall I think my grammar sucks ass.

I would like to earn more money through copywriting now I have my foot in the door. But to do that, I need to improve my skill.

Do any of you have an idea of how I could do this? Have any of you been through a similar process? Thanks in advance.
