I've known way too much about secular beliefs, the shit happening today ironically enough is encourage by secular beliefs

I've never read much because I'm lazy so I don't know where to start. I like movies but since they're expensive to make and have to appeal to many people to be profitable it's hard to find my next favorite, and so I thought maybe there were more books than films that could be up my alley. I like miserable shit, not necessarily about tragedy or death, just generally depressing. Can I get a few recommendations?
Also I have nothing to base this on but Russian authors preferred, it's just an idea I have since I like Russian classical composers and filmmakers

Almost all the attempts ive had to 'deradicalize' me only made me more radical. Most of their arguments boil down to "yes they are technically correct, but it's actually a good thing!" or "just don't think about it".

ive tried to get into far left politics to see that maybe my disenfranchisement was due to other causes, but most of them seem to be no different from regular neoliberalism, while still pretending theyre the same radicals that were suppressed in the 19th century.

My relationship with my parents are pretty splintered. My father more so than my mother. Every time we argue its always about how he had to struggle to get to where he was etc etc and how I'm being an ungrateful child and how I've not worked a day in my life. From my side it's always about how he barely even connects with his children and goes so far as treat his children like his peons. I can barely make my point across when he's mad but I have to give it a try. It's frustrating as fuck.

There's an annoying fly in my room thats been bugging me for 2 hours, but i cant swat it because my cat is afraid of fly swatters.
