It's a little pulpy, but it's a pretty sweet premise. Dinos never went extinct and created a Dino utopia in Africa. The ice age is starting to creep in, forces them across the ocean to north America and into conflict with humans who are nomadic hunter-gatherers fleeing South from said ice age. Dino people have biotech to the point of aerial photography and grug have spear.
Good read. Last book of the trilogy kind of felt like the author gave up halfway through.
