Ok can someone please explain the appeal of these books to me? Because I've never been more mystified by the popularity of a series in my life. Seriously, I don't like GoT, but I understand why people do. This shit though? It has nothing. Boring flavorless world that doesn't feel like a real place. Hilariously bland characters, whose internal monologues consist mostly of banal and juvenile musings on the opposite sex. Zero plot progression, literally everything is filler. And most insulting of all, every fucking book ends the same way, a climactic battle with some shitty and underdeveloped villain, who always ends up getting reincarnated anyway.

If you like these books you have shit taste.

Just got done reading this series. I enjoyed it. 8's decide the next series I read.
