My sister passed away 3 years ago. I still dream of her from time to time. I've noticed almost every time I've seen her in my dreams, I meet her in a train station. We talk for a bit before she says she has to board the train.

I've come to a realisation I'm a spendthrift after going through my expenditure last month. I've basically spend through my allowance last month. I'm practically broke.

But you know, it's funny. My dad's an absolute miser and I'm the complete opposite. I'd like to think I'm like this as a sort of retaliation against my upbringing. My dad would never spend a cent on anything unless it was an emergency or something was broken. He'd never even buy an ice cream on a hot day if we were outside. Anytime I had to ask for even a little bit of cash to go out, I had to give a lecture or presentation on why I deserved to get that money. Most of the time, the time the proposal was rejected.

I think I'll try to find work on some freelancing gig while I study.
