I don't have anything super old; maybe 1870s. I have flirted with the idea of buying considerably older books, but I am concerned about storing them. I've had a mild issue here with humidity in the house and don't want to inadvertently wreck 400 year old books.

On a similar note, does anyone recommend any books about book care, preservation, restoration, combating mold, etc.?

I feel like this is a pretty fitting list, except for Moby-Dick for the Solder (though I can't quite explain why), and also Leaves of Grass for Sniper, who doesn't seem like he'd be particularly into poetry. Soldier seems as though he'd like Huckleberry Finn or something, but as someone else pointed out, he quotes the Art of War in the game.

Also while Engi seems like he would be into Cormac McCarthy, Blood Meridian didn't come out until 1985, and so wouldn't have existed at the time that TF2 takes place.
