WHY THE FUCK IS THIS NOT DELETED YOUR FUCKING SHITTY JANNIES

I want to create a reading list based on a research topic (not intended for university) just for personal intellectual growth but I am struggling to think of a specific question. I want to study the history and thus the effects of modern sociological value judgements on an individual and how it affects their political decisions. Why do we have these, where did they come from, how do they affect us, what was their purpose, do they have any basis in reality or are they merely sociological constructs designed to control us etc.

Something like: "How far does contemporary sociological value judgements influence an individual to act?"

But I think it is too vague and I am not happy with it. I want to understand everything to do with value judgements and why I've been brainwashed from birth to believe a specific morality that has no fundamental basis in reality. I'm not looking for alt right or particularly leftist (although I know it's probably going to be leftist reactionary literature) but technical books. I've been recommended Max Weber and his books are on my list. I'd appreciate books on the Protestants too so I can better understand their role.

Books like Technological society (How technique manufactured these value judgements to suit its own needs) and Technological Slavery and ISAF
