/lit/ - Literature

Realistically, what would a /lit/ character in high school read? I’m thinking stuff like Dostoevsky, Camus, Sartre, Tolstoy, Shakespeare, Milton, Homer, Vonnegut, Heller, Wilde, Hesse, Dante, Twain, Huxley, Kafka, Cervantes, early Joyce, McCarthy, Faulkner. I need stuff that is kind of entry-level or more we’ll known so that it’d be realistic for a character in high school with literary affinities to be reading it. Any other authors or works you can think of? I don’t want it to be too basic either.
