What books should I get my boyfriend for his birthday? He has severe bipolar disorder, currently going through a highly suicidal depressive phase after 4 months of unbearable mania. His favorite books/authors are the Bible, some book by Aristotle, Hermetica by Trismegistus, Jung, that After Virtue book, the Idiot by Dostoevsky, a book by Vargas Llosa, but then again he will change his mind on books every month or so. I think right now he thinks After Virtue is misleading or some shit and he's suddenly terrified of hermeticism. He's also into stock exchange and veganism now which are both pretty annoying, but ok.

Any recs? I want to buy at least 4 books for him so it's not too cheap
