I like Sanderson and I agree that Roshar is pretty cool in principle.

That said, why is it that every single fucking person who talks about this series positively talks about mental health issues? This is seriously like the 20th time I've heard it, a bunch of fags on youtube brought it up, two reviewers I read brought it up, and then everyone who praises it since like last week brought it up.

This was not something people really said before. Have I just not gotten far enough into the new one to see this yet? Like, if you want a story about mental illness, read Bakker. Cnaiur is literally the best character in the series and the entire point of him is that he's two cards short of a tile grout vacation. THAT is mental illness. Shallan being baby's first schizophrenic and Kalladin being me as everyone imagines themselves at edgy 16 do not compare.
