Why is it so hard to find a /lit/ bf (male)?
I live and study in New York and I keep talking to people who go to ivies or seem intelligent otherwise and I cannot hold a decent conversation on lit, film theory, music, art, etc with any of them. I'm not even that smart but I always leave the conversations feeling like they had no idea what I was talking about. The only luck I've had have been European exchange students but they are rare and are usually only in the US for a few months.

Are all of your actions after the age of 22 constant compensation for the fact that your life was never like the guy's in picrelated?
