Currently reading this which has been a good read so far.

Takes what's pretty much a comedy premise (what if two brothers who hate each other accidentally killed two of the most important people on the continent) and plays it completely straight and serious.
I liked Red Wolf Conspiracy by the author but the final act put me off reading the sequels and this is already better in my estimation.
