Post your reading list for the summer.

I'm gonna be working alot (school money), so I'm not sure how much I'll be able to read, but I think I'm gonna finish Crime and Punishment. After that, I've got a copy of Origin of Species that I'd like to read, and then I'm really gonna try to get through Lord of the RIngs (I got about a quarter of the way through last time, it's a long read). If I'm able to finish these books, I think I may pick up either something philosophy related or maybe I'll read Keynes. Not sure yet. If I finish one of those, I'll probably read Pillars of the Earth.

So what are you reading this summer /lit/?

I'm relatively new to this board, so I assume you have already had this conversation.

Would you consider this book to be a "good" work of literature? Should I read it is probably the more relevant question.

Has anybody read this book, or any other by Ken Follet? How are they?
I remember watching some show a while back, and this book was one of the character's favorite books, and it made me want to read it.

My Sister (Oprah) thinks Pillars of the Earth is an amazing book, and she recommended I read it. I'm on chapter 3 (p. 157). She says it "gets good" about a 1/3rd of the way in and the beginning is slow. I don't mind slow, and I'm having no trouble reading it (slowly...).

I'm curious as to /lit/'s opinion.

Forgive me this has been gone over before, I never come here.

Hey, /lit/. Looking for a good (read: your favorite) historical novel to read. I'm entranced by the medieval/middle ages, and would love to read something from that time period.

Pic related, it's my favorite, possibly my favorite book ever.
