That's not really what he's saying. He's saying that time is a necessary form of our experience, but doesn't claim to know the nature of the objective thing which is responsible for that conditioning. So I don't see a conflict there.

If you want to poke holes in Kant's ideas with modern knowledge, I'd look in areas like the problem of universals and his relatively simplistic treatment of the mind.

Does the meme of Hegel being made only come from the preface? I skipped it during my first read, but besides that most of the things written are meaningful, sober and impactful. Now, Kant on the other hand.

Some people claim Hegel is the "Aquinas of Protestantism" yet it is effectively impossible to find explicitly Hegelian minded pastors and ministers in America.

Any /lit/ protestants that appreciate German idealism as a method of understanding religion, the Bible and history? Do you think it wise to introduce these concepts to your local ministry or church group? Have you met Hegelian type Christians in your life?

About halfway through the first critique. I wanted to read all 3 together, but it's been slow going so I'll probably need a break from Kant. I am enjoying it though, i actually enjoy Kant's writing despite the meme of him being a bad writer, even if it can be dry at times.
