There is no shame in wanting a simple life

Thanks Giving break has trimmed some of the dead wood from campus. Walking around Princeton this morning in the relative desolation I almost felt a satisfaction that I was stepping on the same ground F. Scott did. The lit-lifestyle of drinking, writing, than dying young and having my work rediscovered is a path I'm trying to walk down, but I'm not sure if Im doing it right.

None of my stuff has gotten published and most of my drinking is alone in my room. I think if I study abroad in Paris next year, I might find some success by being in the most lit-City. If the expat scene is anything like it was in the 1920s, I might finally inch closer to making it. I'm done with Burgerland /lit/. Is the land of the Eurofags better?
