What books give its readers critical thinking skills?

I have one book. I have read it 40 or 50 times, I've lost track.

It is Lyric Poems by Keats. It sucks but I read it while I fart and shit on the toilet. Is this bad? I'm thinking about reading My Year of Rest and Relaxation. It sounds like it was written for people like me.
