Cavern of black ice - JV Jones.

It's about 800 pages but it has 3 other books in the series and another coming out but the first could stand alone if you aren't interested in a series.

The plot is basically clan politics mixed with a race against time across the icy tundra before the main supporting character has a magic orgasm and summons the baddies into the world.

Also rape.

This is the manliest series I've ever read. You spend 80% of the time reading about characters that are gruff, stoic and effective. Men ride off to battle with grim determination and all that, or glory in it like perfect vikings. Everyone is full of Sisu. Even the women are manly and face adversity head-on silently.

I kind of like it, actually.
