While the imagery of book burning is an invocation of Nazi imagery, the main point of the book is that mass media infantilizes and pacifies people. It is usually taught to school children who are either not paying attention or do not have the expirience or context neccecary to understand it. The best way to control the lessons taken from a book is to teach it to someone while they are young.
