jesus said, live by his word and you will realise his word comes from God and not man. be loving, and live to make oblivion would be an injustice, then you will start to believe. you dont believe to be good, you believe because you are good

By that, of course, you mean the gaudy spiritualism that infects the mind of the bourgeoisie-progressive who believes she can live a life of humanitarian, enlightened secularism while retaining some nebulous belief in a "higher power" and hermetical "energies". Terrible delusion. Whatever substance there is to "mysticism" as a coherent Idea, it begins and ends with Plotinus and Augustine.

>spend my pre-teen and teen years as run of the mill progressive humanist and atheist
>struck adulthood and transformed into a culturally conservative, economically statist, vertical syndicalist and agnostic while recognizing the societal value of strong religious institutions with a sorelian and laschian concern for the historical genesis of morality and societal regeneration

Just finished the holy bible and now I feel empty. It was such a comfort to me and I don't have the actual strength to put any of its teachings into practice. What do I read now?

what are the key differences between catholicism and orthodoxy? ive been living in catholic country for whole my life, and catholicism seems really infantile and shallow in church communites, is it any better in orthodox? its so fucking annoying living in a community that tracts me immaturely, so i think about leaving, or converting to orthodox, as it is pretty close to my culture tho

No, because according to you the only thing that is within my control is my sphere of choice, and the proper conception of the good is my ability to make proper judgements on the impressions that are presented to me. Sounds nice in theory, but in reality you're telling me to surrender myself to fate, to surrender people, places, things, all that makes life meaningful, to accept that what is "natural" is what is hard and difficult and painful. I don't see why I should accept any of this

Literally the entirety of analytic philosophy, including the philosophy of physics, post-1950.

Reality isn't just a bunch of meaningless particles because there are no particles, and whatever there actually is is meaningful, because every physical model that has ever existed either tells us nothing about how reality is or nudges us only towards implications. Perhaps you don't find metaphysical statements meaningful, with their lack of obvious ethical import, and perhaps you don't know enough about science or philosophy to grasp how deep the rabbit hole goes, but that's alright. Just know that even if physicalism is true (a long shot - and depends on how far you want the stretch the meaning of "physical") the world is strange and mysterious and there is more than enough room for exciting philosophical debate.
