How come 4chan is as Super-Ego as it can get?
Shitposters on here are actually voicing the dominant mores, not challenging the order of things.

I feel like such an idiot when I see shit like this and don't have a clue about all that critical theory/psychoanalysis stuff.
I know it's a matter of just studying these works, and I want to and am, but I can't help but not see it as a lack either. There's something dissatisfying about their conclusions.
Anyone else feel this?

Yeah, neurology proves it.
It doesn't exist in a psychoanalytic sense perhaps, but we can say for certain that there are processes the brain carries out that we are unaware of.
Although that by itself might seem to live up to grander (Freudian) ideas of "unconscious", it has also been demonstrated that decisions about what stimuli the brain focuses on are handled by unconscious processes. And, by focusing on those selective stimuli, the brain develops stronger neurological wiring around those stimuli. So, your unconscious has a pretty big effect on what you know and how you understand reality.
