Anything written before the 1800s is an incoherent mess of old-timey language, poorly understood narrative structures, walls of text of description that doesn't matter in any way, and poetry. You only read it for bragging rights, literary cred, and so you could sneer smugly at the mainstream plebs.

Anything written after the 1980s is poorly-written mainstream garbage, first crippled by the modern wannabe-author's desire for easy fame and wealth with actually nothing good to say, then crippled twice over by the publishing companies' licking the asses of political correctness and modern "woke" culture. To read this garbage is to melt your brain.

Everything worth reading came out between these two points.
