Post your novel ideas. It's not like they're going anywhere.

Myself, I am currently writing about about a fellow who, intent on killing himself, suffers the constant misfortune of second chances and audiences in the pursuit of his end. It is a dark comedy where he repeatedly has to screw up the courage to do the deed only to be frustrated time and again and ever more shaken must repose and retry. I named the main character after based Cioran.

I applied to six fully funded creative writing MFA programs for fall enrollment. I received my last rejection today via email. It really hurts. I am doomed to my desk at the insurance company it seems.

Do any of you have any recommendations for next year? I had a nice writing sample, a compelling personal statement, and a near 4.0 gpa from undergraduate and graduate school.

I am really down in the dumps.

>Robert E. Lee is a bad guy
Jesus fucking Christ, why don't any of you commie cucks know a thing about history?

Lee is literally the reason why the Confederacy didn't continue to fight a do or die resistance. He also only joined the war to support his home state of Virginia. He was absolutely instrumental in rebuilding and healing the Union. This is a man who literally opened up a school for black children after the war and who attacked the abusers of blacks while at Washington college. Robert E. Lee is a symbol of hate and racism?

I like Cioran's approach where the contemplation of suicide acts therapeutically and helps you through the day, knowing you can quit at any time.
