Why aren't there more writers like Mishima these days?

Mishima deplored the emphasis given by intellectuals to the mind over the body, and most people these days agree.

Everyone is concerned with physical beauty and excellence, health, muscles and athletics as they should be, but barely anyone writes books glorifying these virtues while shaming things like fat-acceptance.

Why hasn't literature caught up with society?
