>discipline like few others.
He has no discpline whatsoever. You're falling for the old case of seeing someone do what is difficult for you and thinking it'se because they are more virtuous, when in fact he simply has graphomania. His brain just works differently. He doesn't need to focus on writing, he has to focus on NOT WRITING. Some people simply are like that.

Pirateaba, the author of The Wandering Inn, suffers from that affliction as well. 12 milion words of story within just 6 years. Considered to be the best webnovel author alive. And yet the quality of his fiction, while much better than others', cannot be called more than 'decent.'

That's because writing good is never the goal here, jsut writing. Getting the voices out of their heads. Giving live to the characters that keep pestering them. I'm not puting down their work, but it has to be recognized for what it is, an expression of neurodivergent brain.

You wouldn't call an autistic child 'extremely disciplined' because it keeps reading about trains 10 hours a day. There is no discpline. Never were. Ask Brandon about rewriting or polishing his writing and suddenyl he replies 'I don't like it, I write for the endings.' Because rewrites take actual discipline and are boring, while letting graphomania run free isn't.
