One can imagine this from the point of its opposite, the indivisible now. If we have an essence then each moment of our lives is an unfolding of that essence. The moment of realisation is the perfection of our being, its eruption from the surface into a wellspring - where our being cannot be denied, and in the days following we live as if tracing our steps through a memory already laid out before us. As if spectres freed of all judgement, we become the master of our own return to the body. All that was insignificant before this moment now finds meaning, and all that comes after reveals itself in peace. Time itself bends to the completion of this essence. Becoming and Being are One. We are revealed to ourselves in finality. 'It has all led up to this moment.' Fate is bald when turned away from us, and then her beautiful head of hair twirls towards our favour.

As an event, nothing speaks to this more than the collapse of the World Trade Center, that which compelled even the most common man to consider the chasm of truth. It was not the most violent event of modern times, far from it - next to the pure material destruction of the World Wars one might even say it was insignificant. What captivated the Western World was its quality of revelation, and this is clarified in the ridiculous explanations of the destruction as a work of art - as if we were somehow torn from time and space and this 'work of art' would somehow return us to criticism, an investigation into the crime of alienation an impending certainty.

Instantiation is what makes truth impossible, the opposite of art and craft in that the form is hidden through its very exposure. The truth is extricated into a worldly monument, like an injection mould: certain, lifeless, hollow, yet mobilised. Such means ensure that even the most brutal critics are loyal to the ends. And here we see natural law repurposed as the axles and hinges of a vast machine - positive law is merely the initiation rite, the libation of melted plastic, of rose-coloured death, into the mould. Hephaestus and his creations confined within the perfect scales of realism.
