What do you guys think of Stephen King's Dark Tower series? I enjoyed the first book but feel as if it got a bit ridiculous later in the series. Just started the Wolves of Calla after a long break. What's your favourite book?

Sup, /lit/. Mostly a newcomer.

So, other boards have charts and graphs representing what they agree to be quality, time-tested works. /mu/ has essentials lists for quite a few genres of music, /co/ has essential comics, /g/ updates a hardware buyer's guide, /v/ has an entire wiki dedicated to their video game picks, etc.

I was wondering if /lit/ has anything remotely similar regarding literature. And if not, why not? Thanks for your time.
