Are these people fucking retarded or just don't understand what he's actually saying? He's an eliminative materialist. He denies phenomenal consciousness. good God this is so dumb I mean how can you say this? I am literally looking at a pink flower right now how could this possibly be an illusion? And note He doesn't mean this in the sense that "science will show that the brain constructs our experiences in such a way that they seem different to how they actually are (eg, change blindness, the focal point is smaller, there are colour illusions etc), but quite literally THAT I am phenomenally conscious is itself an illusion. there is no sensation AT ALL
