New Wave science fiction

I really liked Lord of Light. But for about a quarter of the book I had no fucking clue what was going on. When it started making sense, reading it felt like a breeze.

Anyways it's philosophical science fiction, reminiscent of the plot from Zardoz (that one movie where Sean Connery is in a speed-o). I was really impressed, but then again, I consider myself pleb when it comes to literature.

A problem might be, that it's one of those classics you don't want to be hearing about.

I read Lord of Light and it was really a blast for about half the book, then it sort of slowed down fot me.

I'm reading this right now, and holy shit is it good.

I like how in the beginning the book makes fuck-all sense, but as you progress, you start connecting the dots (or maybe I'm just slow).

Son of a butt I just read this book and even though I'm not usually into science fiction that much I loved it.
