What are some books that deal with the ontology of Truth? Does truth exist outside of the subject, or is the subject required? Is it possible for a world to be devoid of any objective truths? I can only imagine that this leads to a contradiction, because the statement “there are no truth statements” is a truth statement. But then it is no longer true that there are no truth statements, hence a paradox. Can this paradox actually exist or is it necessary that truth exist? I can’t think of anything more crucial than this, for if truth must exist, then truth is essentially God.
