Working on an 8th now (phantom tollbooth) but it’s proving challenging. How can you have one man who is short and fat, one man who is tall and skinny, and a third who is just like the other two? Mind blowing stuff.

I am a STEM major who is taking an introductory humanities class. I was expecting it to talk about philosophy and history but instead it seems as if the entire class is just revolving around race relations and white guilt. The class began talking about the Holocaust of all things, and now we're reading a mishmash of articles about how the Coronavirus is racist and all white people should feel bad. Is this an accurate representation of the discipline at American Universities? I always loved reading but I'm glad I'm sticking with science now.

Is there a bigger philosophical poison than the left/right wing dichotomy? How can people not see that it makes absolutely 0 sense?
Even Ted, when talking about "leftists" specified he was describing a group of people in the united states, and not a particular philosophy, why do people still bother with this right/left bullshit?
