Can we discuss this?

I usually only read literary fiction (mostly classics), but my peers insist I should give this a chance, What are your thoughts on it?

I feel like this book had a decent story, but everything else about it was awful. It was like 98% dialogue, and it wasn't even astronaut dialogue, it was like some 12 year old edgy kid got stuck on Mars and decided to make poop jokes the entire time.

Now I've never known an astronaut personally, but every single video I've seen of any astronaut they speak very formal, very scientifically minded. Space jargon is a thing, they don't call feces shit, and they don't make up units of measurements and call them asinine shit.

I don't know, it makes me mad. The story itself is a little unrealistic, but the characters are completely unbelievable.

What did you think of this book?
