Asian countries in general like Japan, China, and Korea have become very aesthetic over the last several decades, and it has to do with their overall average IQ being higher than ours, so they thrive better in urban landscapes, and as a result are happier and ready to turn the mundane into something aesthetic more often.

Twitter, by the way, is full of photographers and other artists who produce great work today. It is very easy to find countless others. You will also find thousands of digital artists on websites like artstation.com or conceptartworld.com. Aesthetics has moved into the realm of digital craftsmanship and if you ignore the digital it's no wonder why you think aesthetics is missing in today's world.

And before you say "but all those photos and images are doctored up" — so were classical paintings and illustrations of people and places. Aesthetics does not forbid utilizing technology in order to enhance the visceral emotions, because aesthetics arises from that very process to begin with.
