this is an odd thing but im beginning to wonder if drug-induced anxieties depression have literally made me afraid of any sort of "dopamine" sensation.

like, i was a heavy weed smoker for a few years, but started giving me panic attacks, which was exasperated some health problems.

i was depressed for a long time, and developed lots of bad habits and my alcohol use and diet nuked my physical health. i think its possible i "forgot" what naturally feeling good is like, or even normal

now, ive shed a lot of bad habits and arent depressed in the same way, but on top of my other health issues that give me anxiety, i keep getting this feeling, and its like the nice pleasant tingling feeling and "lightness" of being high, and my mind immediately knee jerk reacts with severe anxiety.

but now im wondering, is that feeling literally just me "feeling good"? is my body trying to be normal but the trauma from drug panic attacks causes me to react to perfectly normal feelings?

wouldn't that be something? spending a year in a state of anxiety over normal bodily sensations as my real health issues keep me on edge

I may have just entered an absolute nightmare scenario. not only has my health been so poor that ive basically become crippled and almost went to the hospital a few times a while back, but i just caught a glimpse of a bug crawling on my bed and I am pretty sure it was a bed bug. this is made more likely bu the fact that a relative of mine had their apartment sprayed for bed bugs a few months back and my dad insisted on having her stay here while they were spraying.

I can't stop thinking about the likelihood of nuclear war. I've given up on planning to survive, I just want to carry a suicide pill around so that if it happens I can die instantly and not have to suffer in agony for weeks

The jeep drove through rainforest, crashing through foliage. When a clearing appeared in the jungle, the hunter put the car into park.

“looks like a good place to settle down.” he thought to himself. “..Well, relatively speaking" .

He got out of his jeep and set up his tent. The sun was still high, but he wasn’t one to push off something that needed doing. He laid down inside his tent, taking off his hat. However, the jungle is full of eyes, and one never truly sleeps alone in these parts.

Unbeknownst to the hunter, a gorilla was loitering around the area. It entered the clearing, noticed the jeep and the tent, and promptly decided to examine the jeep first. After closely examining the unfamiliar object from all around, the gorilla decided to take a look inside of it. There were many objects scattered about inside of the vehicle, but one that caught its eye in particular was a lighter. It must have been the bright red color that caught its attention, contrasting the monotonous beige of the vehicle and most of the other items in it. After playing around with the object for a bit, the gorilla discovered that pressing his thumb in a certain place spawned a flame out of seemingly thin air. The gorilla picked up a twig from the ground and used his newfound ability to set the end of it on fire.

Something in its primitive mind clicked. A Neanderthal awoken from a genetic slumber. Immediately he was tempted to make everything bright with the gift of Prometheus. Until he touched the bright-flower and learned that it was evil, much like the red ants that oh so often waged war on his feet.

The gorilla lumbered over to the tent, and upon looking inside it, saw a hairless cousin.

He was all too familiar with this breed of ape. He'd seen them in the jungle before, hunting other inhabitants of his home. Then an idea came to him: he would teach this hunter a lesson.

He brought his new heat-light near the tent, igniting it as quietly as a half ton ruler of the rainforest could. He ran far hoping that his actions would discourage the other hairless from entering the jungle for at least some time.

The hunter awoke to the smell of something burning. It was him. He ran out of his tent with his clothes on fire and dropped to the ground rolling. He barely saved himself and (most of) the clothes on his back, but his tent was burnt to ashes. He looked around to see what could have caused such a fire, and in the distance, barely visible through the thickness of the jungle, he saw a gorilla running away from his vicinity, hooting and hollering, with what the Hunter thought was a lighter in its hand. “Well, in other news,” the Hunter cried, “RIP Baby Sneed!”
