does anyone know the quote that i believe is attributed to Burroughs that urges people to consume everything from the trashiest of low brow media to the very height of fine art? i remember someone posting it on here years ago and i'd like to know where its from

he was deeply wounded by what happened with Joan. One doesn't recover from that. He also never found love and humbled himself all through out his life. He became a derelict after Harvard, after the roaring 20s. He felt deeply for his cats. His life had many afflictions, as did the people he was surrounded by. Besides the fame, that group reminds me of a my own. We are a lost generation as well. I highly recommend his lectures on creative reading. His intellect is snobbishly "every day". So no flights of mysticism or even pseudo science. A great friend in everlasting grief and depressive realism embodied.

The reverence for shit like Burroughs, Bukowski and Nietzsche fucking astounds me. These people glorify filth and decay, and spit on love, dignity, beauty and the divine mysteries of the universe. It's pretty clear that beat literature and nihilism in general is yet another Jewish attempt to disarm the west by professing against the very values that built it: discipline, morality, respect and self-control.
