Blame and blame and blame, it winds way back to Discordia and ends with the founding of Rome and the age of Apollo. But that’s to end soon enough too.

Well they do also blame Discordia for starting it. But I’m telling ya. Zeus and Apollo set it all in motion for the end results in the Oresteia. A tragedy we’ve lived with to this day

I cannot even appreciate it for its appropriations of paganism.
I cannot forgive it for dumbing down its gnostic foundation
I would not even, for the hand of a lovely lady, turn to her Armenian orthodoxy

I care about humanity, as I see it, and want them to continue to thrive and advance. I see nothing wrong in entertaining the kids with fantasies, but to indoctrinate them into out and out lies so that a clerical class might control them more easily is quite evil in my book.
Helping my people grow up paste this very dangerous phase brings me pleasure. Love. I only want what’s best for you all.
Cheers

If that’s your jam, go right ahead.
You could read Hesiod, but he’s kind of a preface that introduces all the gods and such. You could also go into more fiction with the athenian playwrights, or you could read historical tales like the Anabasis, Herodotus’ Histories or Thucydides’ Peloponnesian War.
Or philosophy
