The peasants hate the truth when it tells them what they don't want to hear. The truth needs to be unconditionally illegal, even if the peasants like one part or the other. If the peasants like some truth and dislike some truth, by tolerating truth, this is like tolerating a child-rape-murderer because he only rapes and murders children on days of the week that start with S or T.
