Alright, so I've decided to read the Iliad. What English translation would you recommend?

I've been looking at the freely available Alexander Pope translation but I felt like it strays too far from the original. I also tried getting the book in my native language (Lithuanian) and that would be nice since it's rendered in hexameter (which, I've been led to believe, is hard to achieve in English) but unfortunately it's hard to get hold of as it's long out of print.

tl;dr Recommend the best Iliad translation

And Homer general I guess

Nihilism:
>Nothing Matters

Achilles:
>Everything Is At Stake

It's a choice. How do you want to live? I know what I want.

>really love the movie Troy
>decide to read the Iliad
>my favorite part from the movie is not even in the book
>the battle parts were meh
>stabbed in the nipple
>arrow to the nipple
>blade pierced the nipple
>nipple chewed off by a goat
>mfw Homer had a male nipple fetish or something
>actually enjoyed the movie more than the book
>first time ever happened to me
>still a great story for it's time I guess

Any of you guys actually enjoyed a movie based on a book more than the book itself? I ALWAYS used to think it was impossible, but hot damn.

So did Achilles know about the heel thing beforehand?
