Books about a relationship between a social outcast and an imaginary/robot gf?
Something to the note of the movie "Her" but preferably where the protagonist is a little bit more likeable and less social.

I love how people think that hard mathy stuff makes a discipline "objective" or "important."

Am I the only one who thinks that alot of modern philosophers were strongly influenced by buddhism.
I mean we know about the connection between Schopenhauer and Buddhism but even Kant sounds alot like Buddha to me. (his antimonies are exaclty the same answers Buddha gave his disciples) and there are also alot of similarities between Wittgensteins Tractatus and the Dharma
Wittgenstein says his tractatus is a ladder that you discard once you used it, Buddha says his dharma is a boat that you discard once you used it. He says that there is no "I" and buddhism says the same. That all things are interconnected and his view of language and the world reminds me alot of karma.
