>You have multiple fundamental misunderstandings. For women it's about controlled fantasy in a safe environment. For men it's that the vast majority have empathy.

I don't think women wanting a safe environment contradicts what I wrote, it's an important part of the fantasy for them, but ti doesn't change the fact that women enjoy being pursued, especially if the male cannot stop himself on from forcing himself on the woman (in stories, not IRL (well, at least not for the majority)).

I assume by 'having empathy' you mean that for men the fantasy is that their empathy is rewarded? That's true, but it's also about the man being useful, being a hero to the community, build something for himself while having people (mostly women) who love him, while also protecting them from other men etc.

I wonder if there's a fantasy book where those elements aren't the focus, instead focus being on the sex itself, without harem aspects (even if there's group sex or multiple partners). Just a fantasy story where a guy/girl just has a lot of fun, without building a harem, while also experiencing a solid adventure (or some other story that doesn't have typical harem elements).

>By accident see 'Time Travel fiction' category on Goodreads
>Highly interesting, love me some time travel stories, what you got for me?
>It's all trashy romances for women

Holy shit, is there an option on Goodreads to sort against romance stories? It really feels as if the entire site catered to a middle-aged woman who wants some hard dicking by a myserious man. Like, I looked at the top books from time travel category and the first was 'Outlander.' And then I saw something like this: https://www.goodreads.com/questions/191922-why-are-people-saying-outlander-is-a-rape

I've never thought I'd see women unironically using 'The old times were like that, it's realistic!' rethoric that edgy guys are prosecuted for 24/7. Literally no difference. It's baffling to me how open women are about this, harem stories for men are popular to some degree, but I NEVER saw anything resembling serious rape or sexual assault in them, the authors are scared to put something like that to not be cancelled. Meanwhile women straight up publish books about women being raped and then liking it, books that become instant best-sellers. Is the situation on the market truly this bad?
