How do you cope with the fact that the world is an absurd hellscape, most people live like animals, happiness is some rare unicorn that actually nobody has ever seen, nothing makes sense and truth is impossible to discern from falsehood?
How do you live, when you finally realize that people don't actually change, they are as much in control of their own lives as they are capable of following NYE resolutions, the spiteful remain spiteful, the unfortunate remain unfortunate, things are usually too late no matter when you realize it, nothing ever ends, no matter what choice you make you will ultimately regret it, and die at the end?

Basically, what do you do when you finally see the world for what it really is - all the suffering and pain and disease and heartbreak and malice and horror and falsehood and finitude and mindlessness - almost as if you've felt it all yourself? What do you then, how can you ever forget about it and just live a normal life?

How hard is America going to be hit by COVID-19? In my state we already have it spreading. I keep a watch on the "prepper" market to see what other paranoid people do. Mountain House (dehydrated food) is completely sold out as confirmed by the company. Same with N95 masks. The former being sold out is a bit more telling than the latter for me as food is, as we all know, extremely important. Going to see if my mom (not underage) wants to go with me to a warehouse store and check stuff out and get her and I some fresh supplies if necessary. According to her during her last Saturday shopping trip a lot of stuff was gone. Not entirely abnormal but more so than usual.

I am attending a Gymnasium, the equivalent of an academic high school in Germany. It's the highest public form of school you can attend here. I hate it. 90% are literal retards and the rest are those which I would like to consider average; but I can't, because """average"""" are the retards. The other 10%, the """smart""" ones put a lot of effort into their grades and learn a lot and laugh about the teachers' jokes and I hate them even more. The teachers are more bored by themselves than the students are, and that must mean something. They always do the same group work, every lesson. It's non-constructive group work. Group work nobody cares about and everybody does either nothing or very little for. Yet our grades are not terrible at all.
I'm sitting here, being seen as just as competent as the 90% by the teachers, getting the same grades, being just as bored. Yet I am not like them. I don't want to pretend like I consider myself to be some kind of underrated intellectual. Maybe I'm just more autistic. Maybe I just lack the most basic skill of all, the only skill you need to be happy on this school: Not being an autist. Help. help
