I am fascinated by what I have read about Russian history. What is the best comprehensive source on the topic? I'm looking for something that would go from the founding of the Kievan Russ to now. Your input would be greatly appreciated.

I'm sort of obligated to, as I bought a batch of his books a few days ago which will arrive in a week or so. I bought The Brothers Karamazov, Crime And Punishment, Demons and The Idiot.

Mine is definitely Dmitri Prokofitch Razumihin from Crime and Punishment. Not only does he get drunk off his ass and hit on Rodion's married sister, but he totally ignores Rodion's teen angst and does everything he can to hook him up, after Rodion vanished for an eternity, killed two people, and is clearly batshit insane. Fuck he's such a bro.
