Many songs were sung throughout the procession. Of his past they spoke, of his ways and words, for remembrance they valued greatly. In deep voices they chanted until a great wall of dusk devoured them. It is said, in the records of the inhabitants of that far country through which they wandered, that the sound of their mournful lamentations were alike the sound of great war-horns.

Got Dickins.

What is /lit/'s opinion on historical fiction?

I am only tolerant of those who, with their best intentions, immediately present themselves as articulate and intelligent people. If one’s own extroversion is so apparent that it bubbles from every orifice they have, I will make it a point to suffer their boldness with petty nods and mechanical gestures until I am no longer required to be in their presence. And, speaking of loud-mouthed fools, there is nothing I find more detestable than people who make it a point to be as rowdy as they possibly can.
And it is all made worse by the fact that these people, and I use the word ‘people’ very wrongly, are the same age as I.

Magic the Gathering novels... on /lit/?!

I'm surprised you've not been crucified.

Anyway, eat shit and die for liking tacky books.

Hey, /lit/, here is a short Lovecraft-inspired short. I'm primarily write historical, but I thought I'd give this a shot.

Thank you, sir.

Well, yes, I've spent a couple of years writing. I started off writing fantasy, but I've moved onto historical fiction.

Those techniques were all written deliberately, but I wouldn't call them professional. This piece was only meant to be a warm up exercise.

Another thing that I quite like about those sentences is the fact that I describe the adornments of the dying king in a linear fashion, head to toe. (Or head to waist, more accurately. )

I shall go and retrieve the other paragraphs.
