>they end up defeating him and the guy gets the courage to tell her how he feels, they get together
>lots of awkward romantic drama, blushing, stammering, light teasing, hand holding and kissing

Got around 30k words into it and decided to scrap it. Around 13k into the new version, which I like a lot more.
I think I'll let my therapist and maybe a few friends read it.

Im writing a romance novel. Whenever I post my work on here, the critiques usually amount to people telling me to quit writing and/or kill myself, but why specifically is my writing so shit?

I write romance fiction to simulate the experience of having a girlfriend

I critiqued in the crit thread but no one really responded. Any feedback is appreciated, no matter how harsh.
I like writing juvenile romance because it helps me simulate the experience as most girls aren't tsundere IRL, they just straight up hate me
