The Gulag Archipelago by Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn

"Bless you, prison, bless you for being in my life. For there, lying upon the rotting prison straw, I came to realize that the object of life is not prosperity as we are made to believe, but the maturity of the human soul."

Reading his work makes me want to be a better person. Can anyone recommend anything similar? He's the only Russian I've read so far.

English - a lot lot lot of feminist stuff, but some redpilled books in there too, e.g. Beowulf, Inferno. Also a lot of English professors are so used to the same liberal slant on writing that, whenever I wrote something that defied that norm, I was always approached and commended on "taking a stand for a differing viewpoint", even if the professor was liberal. I didn't go full NATSOC obviously, because I don't believe in that stupid shit, but still.

PoliSci - Classes vary about 70/30 liberal/conservative - it's actually a lot better than you think. And I go to one of the most liberal schools in the country. People actually study their shit and most are well-informed and well-versed in their ideologies, if not "redpilled". There is not a lot of feminist stuff but there is a lot of race stuff - having to do with the Constitution, Supreme Court cases, American history, BLM, etc. Professors are, here, also receptive to differing viewpoints. One of the profs I got to write me a reference for law school actually caught me at a bar about a year after I took his constitutional law class and we talked about a loud argument I had about abortion with a girl in the middle of our lecture.
