I only write in my mother tongue, Norwegian. I find the general "feeling" of Norwegian to be so different from English that even if I translated it, there would be something off about it.

Concerning song lyrics, I will write in English. I despite Norwegian song lyrics (for modern music, that is), as there is something very uncanny about hearing Norwegian in modern genres like pop and rap (rock is generally ok). I mostly listen to English music, so when it comes to writing to music it just feels natural to write in English.
