If you're a soldier(working for the government) then you're already immoral. You're funded through stolen money, taking orders from murderers to murder other people who've done nothing to you.

The idea that you can 'shirk' your values in this situation is laughable- since you're adhering to immoral values if you give the military your sanction. The only moral option you would have is to desert and try to escape.
