To be honest, I found her diary quite boring. I hardly felt anything when it abruptly ended. The whole thing seemed a bit... voyeristic? I'm not an antisemite - it is a tragedy what happened - but if the family had survived would anyone care about this book? I guess the events and worries are relateable and less fantastic, and so the horror and inevitable end becomes closer and more real? But not for me. What am I missing?
