Dark Fantasy is so overdone it's becoming stale.

I think it's doubly pathetic because it's the easiest setting to depict clear black vs white, good vs. evil but authors typically take the GoT route and try to add moral relativity to it and end up making the world just bleak and hopeless and offering little else.
